WHAT ARE POINTS?






Points are like money but they differ in one important aspect. Unlike money, Points are not affected by inflation. In short, they do not lose their trading value. With Points, your holiday accommodation is safe and you have total flexibility.
 
TOTAL FLEXIBILITY
Unlike conventional timeshare, your Club Mykonos Langebaan Leisure Points offer the opportunity for truly flexible holidays.
 
This means that you can decide when you want to go on holiday, how long you want to stay and you can even choose the size of your accommodation. You also have the flexibility of being able to take a local mid-week break which will only cost you 25% of the Points allocation for the whole week. You can also save your points or borrow points in advance if needed. For example, if you have purchased 10 Points but decide this year not to go on holiday, the unused Points are automatically carried forward to the following year.
 
This means that you will effectively have 20 Points the following year to be used as you desire.
 
Your Points can in fact be saved for up to five years, thereafter you will have to make use of the first year’s Points or they will be lost.
 
An important fact to note when purchasing Points is that if you purchase 12 Points in June, for example, you will only receive 6 for usage in your first year of ownership. This is referred to as pro rata allocation of Points which only applies to the first year of purchase.
 
ADVANTAGES OF THE POINTS SYSTEM

- there are NO exchange fees payable when making a reservation nationally or internationally
- levies are only payable on Points purchased and not on Points which accumulate
- Points can be bequeathed to your beneficiaries
- you are able to split your week and take midweek or weekend breaks
- you can accumulate unused Points for up to 5 years.
 
HOW DOES THE POINTS SYSTEM WORK?
On 1 January each year you’ll be credited with the number of Points you purchased plus the Points carried over from the previous year which you did not use. Should you wish to exchange into another RCI resort which requires more Points than you have purchased, you may borrow Points one year in advance. In other words, you may borrow against the Points that will be credited to your account in the following year.
 
RESORT GRADING
Each RCI resort has been graded and has a fixed number of Points allocated to it for the entire year. The Western Cape is now considered one of the most sought after holiday destinations on the continent and it is predicted that within 5 years it will be almost impossible to get holiday accommodation in this area unless you own your own holiday time. The Club Mykonos Langebaan Leisure Points System therefore makes your exchange opportunities that much easier. Why, because of the high demand for accommodation in the area.
